Hello! Welcome to Family First, Travel Second.
I was previously a travel agent, where I had the opportunity to explore the world and help people create unforgettable memories. After starting a family of my own, I took a different path and returned to school to pursue something entirely unrelated.
Putting Family First
True to the name of this page, family always comes first. While travel is a huge passion of mine, you’ll also find plenty of content here that has nothing to do with planes, trains, or suitcases. I love sharing the everyday realities of raising a family—from managing the daily chaos and finding local activities to navigating the unique challenges and joys of modern parenting. Whether we are halfway across the world or just hanging out in our own backyard, family life is the ultimate adventure.
My Passion for Planning
Even though my professional focus has shifted, my love for travel planning has remained a constant in my life. I get highly fixated on our trips, often overplanning each detail because the joy of travel excites me! I believe that every adventure should be enjoyable and as stress-free as possible. I prefer arriving with a fully planned itinerary and choosing to pivot once I’m there, rather than wasting valuable vacation time glued to my phone researching where to go or eat. For me, over-planning is a necessity when traveling with young kids, especially since one of my kids has food allergies. That said, I know everyone has their own travel style and many prefer spontaneity, so my posts may not resonate with everyone.

Helping Families Travel Stress-Free
Through my experiences, I’ve discovered numerous tips and tricks that can greatly benefit families who may not share my enthusiasm for planning trips. I’m here to share insights that will help you navigate your travel experiences with ease. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly destinations or practical advice on organizing your travel itinerary, I’m excited to help you every step of the way!
